Course Details
Pinnacle Safety and Training does not offer Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for this course. Due to the duration and cost of this short course, RPL assessment would have limited value to participants.
Certification
Students who are deemed competent will receive a Statement of Attainment recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework. This certification is nationally recognised. The Statement is issued by Pinnacle Safety and Training (RTO 40496).
Students will also receive a wallet ID card. Students are required to provide a passport-like profile photo in order to be issued a wallet ID card.

Course Validity and Refreshers
The refresher period for the Mining Induction course is five years. This means individuals can refresh their induction, at the discretion of mining companies, within a five year period.

Each Trainee Must Provide
Participants must
- Be at least 16 years of age
- Have at least a Year 10 level of numeracy, literacy and communication skills
- Have the ability to read and write English
- Arrive in suitable attire including long sleeves, long pants and closed-in footwear
- To receive your Mining Induction photo ID card, a photo must be provided prior to the course commencing using the following guidelines:
- Take a passport-like photo showing your head and shoulders
- Stand against a plain white background
- Remove your hat and sunglasses, look at the camera
- Certificate III in Emergency Response and Rescue
- Silica Awareness
- Hazardous Areas Awareness
- Mining Supervisor (G1, G8, G9) - formerly S1, S2, S3
