Work Safely at Heights now available as a blended online theory + half day practical course
In response to the coronavirus pandemic, Pinnacle Safety and Training is working around the clock to provide more online learning opportunities for our customers.
As part of this work, in late March, Pinnacle launched a new way for students to complete the Work Safely at Heights qualification.
Specifically, students can now do the theory component for this course online at home before attending one of our facilities for a half-day practical session.
Pinnacle Safety and Training CEO, Paul Botwright said his first priority since the beginning of the coronavirus outbreak has been the wellbeing of his team members and students.
“Almost every day we are implementing new measures to reduce the level of risk associated with this virus.”
“In addition to extra hygiene measures and social distancing, our focus has been on adjusting our courses to limit the amount of in-person contact required.”
“Our Work Safely at Heights program is one of our flagship courses, so it was the first traditional face-to-face course we’ve adapted to reduce the amount of physical contact required between our students and team members.”
“In this case, the full qualification is not suited to a 100% online delivery, but we have made all online-compatible components available through our e-Learning platform.”
“And our practical learning scenarios (that must be completed in-person) have been adjusted to allow for social distancing measures.”

“The online component of our Work Safely at Heights course is engaging, interactive and designed to cater for different student learning styles.”

Thanks to your team. Also good to see a real course where you do learn and have to earn the qualification rather than just get approved because you “turned up”. Hopefully this will keep the level of the people in the industry at a high quality and will actually mean the qualifications hold some value in the workplace.
