Certification

Pinnacle offer two variations of this program to suit different requirements.

Option 1 - Non-Accredited Program (Basic)

  • Students who are deemed competent will receive a Certificate of Completion. This certificate is issued by Pinnacle Safety and Training (RTO 40496).

Option 2 - Accredited Program (Level 1)

  • Students who are deemed competent in the nationally-recognised program will receive a Statement of Attainment recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework. This certification is nationally recognised. The Statement is issued by Pinnacle Safety and Training (RTO 40496).
  • National unit of competency: TLIF0001 Apply chain of responsibility legislation, regulations and workplace procedures

Which Program To Choose?

Option 1 - Non-Accredited Program (Basic)

  • Program is 100% online
  • You will learn the same material as the Accredited program.
  • The material aligns to the nationally recognised unit of competency TLIF0001
  • You will be required to complete quizzes to confirm your knowledge
  • You will not be required to complete a workplace project
  • You will receive a Certificate of Completion

Option 2 - Accredited Program (Level 1)

  • Learning component of the program is 100% online
  • You will learn the same material as the non-accredited program
  • You will undertake a series of quizzes to confirm your knowledge
  • You will be required to complete a workplace project involving short answer questions, a workplace inspection activity and a competency conversation with a Pinnacle assessor. This is a requirement of the TLIF0001 unit of competency
  • When deemed competent you will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for TLIF0001 - Apply chain of responsibility legislation, regulations and workplace procedures

Course Overview

Chain of Responsibility (CoR) legislation extends the general liability for offences to all parties who are part of the supply chain such as retailers, importers, exporters, dispatch staff, packers and pickers, loader and drivers, schedulers, managers, directors—in fact anyone involved in road transport at any stage. This course encourages you and your employer to be aware of what you may be accountable for should there be any workplace incident.

Course Outline

  • Obligations and duties within the Chain of Responsibility in relation to HVNL regulations
  • Chain of Responsibility breaches and penalties
  • Methods for management of speed and fatigue
  • Calculating vehicle dimension and mass limits, and securing loads
  • Workplace policies, procedures and other documents that include Chain of Responsibility as it applies to certain job roles

Each Participant Must

  • Have at least a Year 10 level of numeracy, literacy and communication skills
  • Have the ability to read, write and listen/understand English
  • Have a sound level of computer skills to navigate through the e-Learning course
  • Use a device that meets the minimum System Requirements of Pinnacle’s e-Learning system (we officially support and recommend modern desktop or laptop computers running Google Chrome web browser). Other personal device (e.g. phones and tablets) may be compatible, but due to the variety available, we do not officially support these devices.
  • Have a stable internet connection
  • Have a strong level of computer literacy skills. Your assignments will be completed on a computer
  • Have the skills to compile electronic documents using software applications (word processing)
  • Agree with all terms and conditions of your enrolment
  • Accredited (Level 1) program: Supply a contact phone number. Participants will complete a workplace project as their final assessment for this course. Upon completion, an assessor will contact you to confirm your understanding of your CoR obligations.
