Certification

Students who are deemed competent will receive a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122), which is recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework. This certification is nationally recognised. The Qualification is issued by Pinnacle Safety and Training (RTO 40496).

This course has been made up of 12 units. 6 core units and 6 elective units, which have been selected by Pinnacle Safety and Training to align with the skills and requirements for the majority of trainers throughout Australia.

Pinnacle Safety and Training does not offer Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for the Certificate in Training and Assessment. This decision is made to protect the sensitive information required to demonstrate the essential skills and knowledge for this qualification. Such information includes, but is not limited to, current assessment tools used within active Registered Training Organisations (RTOs), private learner records, and completed assessment tools used in validation processes. To uphold the quality and integrity of the TAE qualification, RPL is not available at this time.

General Resources Requirements (required by all students)
  • Modern laptop or desktop computer with:
    • Internet connectivity
    • Word processing software – Microsoft Word is highly recommended
    • Presentation software – Microsoft PowerPoint is highly recommended

  • Access to the internet
  • Two volunteers
  • A suitable training environment to conduct one-on-one training
  • Video recording equipment
  • Video editing software (if required) – free software is available online

Additional Requirements for Face-to-Face Students and Students Attending Face-to-Face Workshops
  • Laptop with the ability to connect to a wireless internet network
  • Optional additional resources may include:
    • Additional screen

Additional Requirements for Virtual Students and Students Attending Virtual Workshops
  • Reliable internet connection
  • Headphones with microphone

Additional Requirements for Distance Students Unable to Attend a Training Facility
  • A total of six volunteers (group of four + two individuals not part of the group)
  • Presenting equipment (projector or screen) as required for delivering training
  • A suitable training environment to accommodate four learners

Volunteers must be at least 15 years of age and consent to being video recorded for the purposes of assessment.
